10 years !!

I recently completed 10 years in tech industry. There are so many people that helped me grow as a person and engineer. I heard many horror stories about bad teams and not so good managers. People warned me about managers favouritism. Surprisingly in 10 years I never worked with manager who isn’t fair and kind to everyone in the team. May be the so called bad managers are odd occurrence in the industry than a norm.

Many friends and colleagues generously gave their time to help and teach me. There are roommates who took care of me when I was sick. One friend/roomie even taught me how to ride a bike (I learned bike riding at 28). All these people helped me without expecting anything in return. I am forever in debt of these people.

Most of the people in workspace want to perform good and contribute to the team effort. I have seen very few people with questionable work ethic. In fact I have seen many people diligently working, even on their last day with the team. It’s better to have positive opinion about every one instead of having a bad opinion and turning out to be wrong.
